The SMC- EZ1024DT is a 24-port Fast Ethernet Switch designed specifically for home and small office applications. With a non-blocking switching architecture supporting an aggregate bandwidth of 3.2 Gbps, each port supports full-duplex bandwidth capability under all traffic conditions, auto-negotiation for either 10 or 100 Mbps, and auto-sensing for crossover configurations. Network expansion is easy with an uplink port to additional switches. The specialized memory buffer architecture reduces packet loss under heavy traffic conditions and prevents forwarding bad packets that may result as an attack from a hacker or unauthorized user. Installation and configuration are easy, as the address-learning capabilities of the SMC- EZ1024DT probes the network on power-up and automatically configures the switch.
