ES-5844P is an 8 ports 10/100Mbps desktop switch within 4 ports PoE. PoE (IEEE802.3af) provides power and data over a Cat-5 cable. The auto sensing feature can detect non PoE devices so it won't demage those equipments. EP-5844P dicontinutes the power when PD is off and it can detect PD power level to optimize the power consumption.

ES-5844P simplifies the installation like wireless access point (EW-7206PDg) and IP camera. In this case, those devices can be installed in a place away from electrical outlets. It provides the flexibility in situating devices where the power outlet is different to access.
