Featuring eXtended range(XR) technology this router facilitates longer range connections, providing single access point coverage in home networks, eliminating dead spots in corporate wireless LANs, and provide outdoor coverage of up to two times the distance of last generation competing WLAN solutions.
Furthermore, because it is Wi-Fi CERTIFIED, the router works with other Wi-Fi compatible equipment.
The 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless 54 Mbps 11g Cable/DSL Router includes multiple firewall and IP routing and advanced security features—IP routing (RIP 1 and 2), static routing, URL or keyword filtering, and allow/deny access control lists; plus support for the SurfControl Web Filter —in an economical package. 128-bit WPA/WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access/ Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) with TKIP/AES and 40/64 and 128-bit WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) encryption for legacy clients to protect the privacy of 11g and 11b wireless transmissions. An intuitive web interface and simple setup wizards simplify setup and use.
