Die HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Bandbibliothek ist die ideale Einstiegslösung, die die Kapazität und die umfangreichen Funktionen einer Bandbibliothek in der kompakten Form eines Tape Autoloaders vereint. Mit einer komprimierten Kapazität (2:1) von bis zu 38,4 TB kann die MSL2024 problemlos Sicherungs- und Wiederherstellungsjobs bewältigen, die normalerweise von Mid-Range-Bandbibliotheken verarbeitet werden. Dank des 2U-Formfaktors bietet die MSL2024 eine hohe Speicherkapazität, ohne dabei wertvollen Platz im Rack zu belegen. Dank der einzigartigen, webbasierten Managementfunktionen von HP erübrigen sich lokale IT-Ressourcen, da alle Standorte zentral verwaltet werden. Die MSL2024 bietet Kunden die Möglichkeit, eine Bibliothek mit LTO Ultrium-Bandlaufwerken und einer SCSI-, SAS- oder Fibre Channel-Schnittstelle zu erwerben. Jede Bibliothek umfasst zwei auswechselbare Magazine mit 12 Einschüben und einen durch den Benutzer konfigurierbaren Mail-Slot für den Import/Export von Datenkassetten. Zur Standardkonfiguration gehört ein Strichcodeleser zur Erleichterung der Medienverwaltung.
