The DDS-Gen5 tape drive is the 5th generation of tried-andtested DDS tape technology. Like its predecessors, it offers a reliable, low-cost data backup solution for small to mediumsized servers. The drive stores 72 GB of data in 3.5 hours (compressed), making it an ideal solution for applications with large storage capacity requirements.
The DDS-Gen5 tape drive offers transfer rates of 6 MB/s at a compression of 2:1.
The capacity of 72 GB on one tape means lower tape consumption, less user intervention, simpler tape management and low costs.
