- Whereas many ultramobile laptops make sacrifices on ports, the Portégé Z830 takes the opposite approach. You get a full set of 3 USB ports, including one USB 3.0. HDMI, VGA, Gigabit LAN and SD connections are full-size, so you won't need to carry around any special adapters.

- The Portégé Z830 boots in a flash. This is thanks to the efficient Solid State Drive (SSD) and the optional Intel® Rapid Start Technology. The daily rigours of working on the move often results in vibrations and shocks to your laptop that can affect the internal components of a hard disk drive. But with the SSD drive there are no moving parts, making your laptop better suited for mobile working. Solid state media is also faster and more power-efficient and significantly reduces boot and shut-down times, all meaning you can work quicker and enjoy the benefits of a longer lasting battery.

- The ultramobile Portégé Z830 comes equipped with a wide spectrum of wireless connectivity options, so you will always be able to keep in touch, wherever you are.
