Overview
HP Modular PDUs have a unique modular architecture designed specifically for data center customers who want to maximize power distribution and space efficiencies in the rack. Modular PDUs consist of two building blocks - the Control Unit (core) and the Extension Bar(s) (sticks). The Control Unit is 1U/0U, and the Extension Bars mount directly to the frame of the rack in multiple locations. Available models range from 16A to 48A current ratings, with output connections ranging from four outlets up to 36 outlets.

Modular design and flexible mounting options
⁍ HP Modular PDUs offer unique modular design architecture, consisting of two main parts: the Control Unit, and the Extension Bar(s). Each unit (24-48A models) ships with one Control Unit and four Extension Bars. Each Control Unit is a single-phase unit that branches out into 4 single-phase branch circuits. The Extension Bars plug into the Control Unit and can be mounted in multiple locations throughout the rack. The 16A model has a Control Unit with two branch circuits and ships with two Extension Bars. Core only units ship without extension bars.
Superior cable management and accessibility
⁍ When you have the power to choose where to mount the Extension Bars, you have the option of mounting the bars closer to where your specific servers are located; so you don't have to use long power cords running down the entire length of your rack - you can now have smaller cords plugging-in to a nearby Extension Bar. Shorter jumper cords (4.5ft long) are available as options (PN 142257-006, quantity 1, PN 142257-007, quantity 15).
Attached power cords for quick installation
⁍ Each HP modular PDU core comes standard with an attached power cord (detachable on the 16A model), allowing the customer to quickly install equipment, plug it in and be up and running.
Backed by a limited three-year warranty
⁍ When used in the HP 9000 and 10000 Series Racks, HP PDUs assume the warranty of the HP Rack in which they're installed. HP Proliant server HP Care Pack services covers rack and rack option including HP PDU quolified for inclsuion in the same rack providing a range of flexible support options that significantly improve responsce time, coverage window and faster problem resolution.
